These internships are designed to offer a student an opportunity to learn about how small international non-profits operate at home and conduct development work in other countries. Ideal candidates have a genuine interest in international and strategic development work that includes duties such as event planning, PR, research and evaluation, fundraising support and community outreach.

Event Planning Internship

Duration: January 28 through May 24.

You will work closely with Namlo’s Program Manager, Hailey, as well as our Executive Director, Laura, to plan and implement a successful annual dinner fundraiser. This annual event will be a fun and impactful night for the guests, and raise $50,000 for Namlo’s programs.

Duties will include timeline preparation, venue scouting, social media and other communication PR, invitation design, decorations, silent and live auction prep, entertainment and food planning, developing an invitation list, other logistics (coat check, parking) and follow up activities. With the implementation of a successful event, we will make a positive impact on thousands of people’s lives who benefit from our sustainable development projects in Nepal.

Through this event planning internship, you will get hands on experience in transferable skills such as problem solving, organizational skills, multi-tasking, prioritisation, sales, project management, team work, and more.
